The Experience Music Project

SIGDOC focuses on the design of communication as it is taught, practiced, researched, and conceptualized in the fields of user-centered design, technical communication, software engineering, information architecture, and usability.
Members of SIGDOC include information designers, user experience researchers, educators, web content developers, usability specialists, computer scientists, and user interface designers.
About SIGDOC in Seattle
One of the nation’s top high-tech cities, Seattle has a vibrant UX community. Home to offices of prominent companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Boeing, T-Mobile, Facebook and Google, as well as many design agencies, Seattle offers an exciting backdrop for the organization’s annual research gathering.
Attendees will have opportunities to enjoy the region’s excellent coffee, seafood, and music as they gather to discuss new ideas and current trends in the design of communication.The conference will be hosted in the heart of the city, providing attendees with immediate access to exciting shopping, museums, the iconic Space Needle, Pike Place Market, and the famous Seattle waterfront district.
